Omegamed® Optima START is specially formulated for women planning pregnancy and during the early months of pregnancy. Its optimal composition, developed with expert input, provides a daily dose of nutrients important for the proper development of the brain and eyes in the fetus and in breastfed infants*.

Omegamed® Optima START contains recommended nutrients in a unique combination:

• Algal DHA (Life’s DHA®): 200 mg

• Complex folate source ActiFolin®: folic acid (400 µg) + active folate form (400 µg)

• Vitamin D: 2000 IU

• Iodine: 200 µg

All ingredients are included in a single capsule.

Omegamed® Optima START contains unique, patented ingredient forms: algal DHA (Life’s DHA®) and the complex folate source ActiFolin®. This ensures excellent quality and high bioavailability of active ingredients.

DHA in Omegamed® products is:

• From a primary source – extracted from natural algae Schizochytrium sp., a safe and original source. Ensures better taste and smell, as well as good absorption and tolerance.

• Pure – the algae are cultivated in controlled conditions, away from marine tanks, eliminating the risk of exposure to potentially harmful contaminants found in natural environments, such as dioxins, methylmercury, and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB).

Omegamed® Optima START does not contain fish oil, making it well tolerated and less likely to aggravate nausea.

On June 15, 2022, the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, after reviewing the patent application submitted on February 6, 2015, issued a decision granting a patent for the composition of ingredients contained in the dietary supplement Omegamed® Optima START for women planning pregnancy and during the first trimester of pregnancy in the Polish population.

The granting of the patent means that the solution contained in the product is innovative and is protected by exclusive rights for 20 years from the filing date.

The subject of the patent is a unique composition of specially selected ingredients in precise proportions, including algal docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which supports a healthy course of pregnancy, its duration, and thereby the health of the newborn child.

Dietary supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. The product is intended for women planning pregnancy and in the early months of pregnancy.
